Reusable · Non-invasive · Made in India

One drop of saliva.
A clearer fertility window.

Ovulis is a reusable home wellness device in development that reads estrogen-associated patterns in dried saliva — turning one daily drop into a clear, trackable view of your cycle. No strips. No refills. No guesswork.

The problem

Today, women choose between guessing and paying forever.

The fertile window is only about six days a cycle — and every existing way of finding it asks for a trade-off.

Calendar apps

A guess

Estimates from population averages — not your biology, not this month.

Test strips

A recurring bill

A real signal, but late in the window — and a new pack every single cycle.

Clinic monitoring

Accurate, but costly

The clinical benchmark — repeated visits, per-scan fees, clinic hours.

Months later

Still uncertain

Money spent, and the timing still doesn’t feel clear.

How it works

Three minutes at home. The device does the rest.

1

A drop of saliva

Place a drop on the slide and close the lid. Nothing to open, unwrap or throw away.

2

Controlled capture

Ovulis manages the sample’s environment and images it at exactly the right moment — the room never shapes the result.

3

Software-graded reading

The pattern is graded consistently by software, never judged by eye — with a confidence level on every reading.

4

Your cycle, as a trend

Each reading joins a comparable record you can actually follow, week to week.

The science

A biomarker known since the 1950s — finally engineered properly.

The biology is documented. As estrogen levels change across the cycle, the composition of saliva changes with them — and a dried drop can form distinctive fern-like crystal patterns. Researchers have described this for over seventy years.

The old tools failed the biology. Handheld saliva microscopes left drying, timing, lighting and interpretation to the user — and published results were inconsistent. The biomarker was right; the workflow around it wasn’t.

Ovulis controls the workflow. The device manages the sample’s conditions, captures it at the right moment, and grades the pattern in software — so a reading means the same thing every time, in any season, for anyone.

Ovulis is investigational. A hospital-based validation study, benchmarked against clinical ultrasound, is planned with Indian partners — and we will publish what we find.

Our story

Built by the doctors who saw the gap.

Co-founder · Clinical

Dr Monica Daga

A practising doctor who heard the same question from patients for years: “How do I understand my own cycle at home?” Ovulis started as her answer. She leads clinical strategy and our hospital-validation programme.

Co-founder · Product & Engineering

Dr Abhay Daga

A doctor-builder who designed and built the Ovulis prototype in-house — optics, environment control, firmware and software. He leads product, engineering and manufacturing, in India.

Founder-funded, DPIIT-recognised, and deliberately patient: Ovulis launches only after hospital-benchmarked validation.
